The
BCA History
The Browning Collectors Association was formed in 1979 by Colonel
Reid Betz. Colonel Betz spent most of his retirement years working
on the Browning Collectors Association. The association obtained nonprofit
status and was originally based out of Utah, the home-state of the
Browning Brothers as well as the Browning company today. The association
quickly became the forum where Browning firearm collectors could interchange
information on firearms, historical facts and also a market place
for rare firearms as well as gun parts, accessories etc...
Our Mission
To further the interest in Browning Firearms and the Browning history
in general.
Meeting Members' Needs
After 25 years the association is stronger than ever. We have over
750 members worldwide and publish a bimonthly newsletter that interests
Browning and FN (Fabrique Nationale) collectors worldwide. The newsletter
is filled with interesting information, including; special events,
reviews on new as well as collectable Browning and FN firearms, members
musings, interesting stories from collectors, questions & answers
on all FN ( Fabrique Nationale ) and Browning topics, and special
Browning offers available only to association members...
Once a year the association gathers for the annual meeting, this is
typically held in conjunction with the Tulsa, OK, spring show. One
of the largest gun shows in the country, the show is the perfect meeting
ground for all Browning and FN ( Fabrique Nationale ) collectors as
well as a great location to see and display Browning collections.
